Cons

Our Verdict
If all you need is minimalist protection for the iPad’s back, this faux-leather case could help. But fuller protection is available.
Newer Technology’s
NuGuard Leather case isn’t an
iPad sleeve, and it certainly isn’t an
iPad bag. Rather, it’s a rigid shell, in black faux-leather, that snaps snugly onto the back of your tablet. As such, it will keep the back scratch- and grime-free and provide some protection if you happen to drop the tablet on its backside. The case’s faux-leather covering softens the iPad’s metallic look and provides a slightly better grip than the iPad’s own aluminum back. But the NuGuard Leather is still slippery in the hand and doesn’t completely solve the the iPad’s holdability problem. It also doesn’t do anything to protect the screen. In other words, if you want minimal protection or you don’t like the look of brushed aluminum, the NuGuard Leather case might be worth considering. But if you want fuller protection, you need a fuller sleeve.
