Sometimes you want to snap a photo with your iPhone without anyone knowing what you’re doing. Maybe you’re out with friends and you want to take a few photos without being obvious, or maybe you want to capture a funny moment at work without being a distraction.
NinjaCam, a $2 app from Ian Collins, disguises your camera and allows you to take pictures secretly.
When you launch NinjaCam, all you see is a page of Lorem ipsum filler. You simply tap anywhere on the screen, and the app takes a photo in the background. The screen never changes. When your photo is complete, the phone will vibrate to let you know it’s been saved. You can tap as many times as you’d like to continue taking multiple pictures.
A button on the bottom navigation bar will change the screen to all black. (You swipe left to right to return to the original screen.) This feature an be useful when you don’t want any light from your phone to be seen, like at a concert.
You may not have a lot of need to take photos secretly with your phone, but if you ever do, NinjaCam will get the job done.
