If you’ve ordered an iPhone 4, you might want to check your e-mail: according to reports, you may be getting the device a day earlier than expected.
On Monday night, reports started trickling in from excited customers who had reportedly received an e-mail from Apple with the subject “Your iPhone will deliver on June 23rd.” Apple wasn’t immediately available for comment about the e-mail, but header information suggests the message came from behind Apple’s gates.
The e-mail goes on to state that for these customers, delivery will occur on June 23, despite Apple and FedEx tracking indicating a June 24 delivery, and reminds them to pre-sign for delivery if they will not be around to accept the package in person.
Sadly, these individual customers seem to be the only ones in luck of an early delivery—those who elected to reserve a phone will have to wait until the morning of June 24 to pick up the device.
If nothing else, we might be in store for some early unwrapping photos. Not that we haven’t seen enough already.
[Update: Reports are now starting to come in from people saying they’ve already received their iPhone 4 deliveries.]
