We turn the Macworld Podcast over to you today. During the previous podcast, I asked listeners to submit audio comments, questions, and Mac tips for the chance to win iPod gear; I received a flood of responses, so I thought I’d share some of the winning submissions.

If you didn’t get a chance to submit a comment of your own, you’ve still got a little more time to sound off before I announce the final round of winners in a future podcast. I’d prefer the audio file to be in AIFF format, mono at 128 kbps with as little background noise as possible. If you can’t or don’t know how to do that, simply do your best and we’ll pick our favorite submissions.

There’s more than just listener contributions in this episode. Derrick Story, editor of O’Reilly’s, stops by to talk about his “New Life for Old Photos” feature in the June 2006 issue of Macworld that should be on newsstands shortly.

Show notes

In the beginning of the show, I talked about some of my favorite geeky sites and items. The full list is also in the June 2006 issue of Macworld (on pages 64 and 65). I mention:

You can read Derrick Story’s “New life for old photos” online.

In a response to one of our reader comments, Editorial Director Jason Snell referred to Salling Clicker, a way to control your Mac from your Bluetooth-enabled cell phone. Jason also mentioned that Macworld is available as a PDF from Zinio.

Kennyon Li, a listener in Suzhou, China, asked about more coverage on the Intel Transition. We’ve got an Intel topic page, with all of our articles on Intel, Boot Camp, and Parallels. Those last two subjects are also covered on our Windows on Mac page.

Desmond from Clyde, North Carolina, asked about earbuds for his iPod. Dan Frakes suggested the Sennheiser MX400.

Kyle from Iowa City, Iowa asked about using a Mac mini as a media center. Our Mac mini topic page can be found here.
