Microsoft’s all over today’s remainders, mainly because I haven’t found a stain remover that will get it out yet. I kid, I kid. Also a fashion don’t and a survey that will hopefully make you feel better about yourself. Run down the remainders for Thursday July 22, 2010.
I confess: I bought an iPad (and so far I love it) (ZDNet)
Noted Microsoft watcher Mary Jo Foley writes on her blog that she bought her first Apple product, an iPad; previously she’d avoided it because Apple users were “hostile and condescending.” If I went by that logic, here’s a (by no means complete) list of products and services I would never use: the subway, most comic book stores, several upscale restaurants, several high-end clothing chains, and Facebook.
Microsoft gives all employees a Windows 7 Phone (Twitter)
Speaking of the above Ms. Foley, she also retweets a comment from a Microsoft worker saying that the company is giving Windows Phone 7 handset to every employee. As I recall, the last time Microsoft gave free stuff to their employees was when they couldn’t figure out any other way to get rid of all those copies of Windows ME.
