On Tuesday, Epson released the WorkForce 635, a multifunction printer (MFP) targeted at small business.
Epson says that the WorkForce 635 is the “world’s fastest” MFP, with ISO speed ratings of 15 pages per minute (ppm) for monochrome and 7.2 ppm for color. The printer has a 250-sheet input tray to handle large print volumes. It also does automatic two-sided printing.
The WorkForce 635 uses four separate DuraBrite Ultra ink cartridges. The printer has a resolution of 5670 by 1440 dots per inch (dpi).
The color scanner has a maximum optical resolution of 2400 by 2400 dpi. The scanner can also act as a copier and works with a built-in 30-page automatic document feeder. The WorkForce 635 can also automatically scan and copy two-sided documents.
The fax capability stores up to 60 speed dial numbers and can receive up to 180 pages in memory.
The WorkForce 635 is priced at $230 and comes with a one-year warranty.
Epson also released the WorkForce 630, which is similar to the WorkForce 635, except it lacks the support for two-sided printing, scanning, and copying. The WorkForce 630 is $180.
