Apple has posted a note on its iPhone Dev Center Website promising to pay developers sooner and more frequently in future.
The company has announced a new Payments and Financial Reports module in iTunes Connect, which will provide developers with details on all financial reports and payments.
“From a dashboard view, you can quickly obtain information including last payment, amount owed, latest monthly earnings, a rolling transaction history, unit sales, and payment trends,” Apple notes.
Additionally Apple claims it has made significant updates to how developers payments will be processed.
According to Apple, the new module will see a reduction in the thresholds required to be paid, while increasing the frequency developers will receive proceeds.
The module will also introduce a consolidated single monthly payment for all proceeds worldwide, reducing bank fees and costs, while promising a clearer presentation of amounts earned, amounts owed, and a reconciliation between the reported sales and the amounts paid.
For developers, the iTunes Connect Payments & Financial Reports Guide available from the Payments and Financial Reports module in iTunes Connect.
