Our Verdict
Stowable handles and a memory-foam interior give this case a nice balance between protection and convenience.
Uniea’s $40 Omniverse iPad Case is a zippered sleeve that won’t add a lot of bulk, but will keep your iPad safe and sound. Its coolest feature is the inclusion of memory foam as the interior padding. The memory foam is soft, shock-absorbent, and conforms to the shape of the iPad, providing a good protective layer. In addition, the case sports a pair of stowable handles that snap together and can be tucked out of sight when not needed—the pockets for the handles are quite large and can easily double as storage space for accessories. The two zippers run along three sides of the case, letting you flip the whole thing open like a book to use the iPad. Four elastic corner flaps keep the iPad in place, although you’ll need to pull the device out or undo the flaps if you want to get at any of its buttons or ports.
