Our Verdict
In designing the poorly named IC-1000BK ($40), Cyber Acoustics has taken the lessons of Apple’s own iPad Case and applied them to an attractive, leather folio. The case looks like your standard leather folio, available in red or black, but the front cover is hinged to fold back and slip under a tab on the back side—just as with Apple’s case—to prop up the iPad in landscape orientation or to obtain a better typing angle.
The restraint mechanism on the inside of the case is clever, too—the case features four soft-plastic pieces that hold the iPad securely in place. All jacks and ports remain fully accessible.
If you like the functionality of Apple’s iPad Case but prefer a leather-folio aesthetic, I haven’t seen anything better than the IC-1000BK.
