Our Verdict
Incase’s $35 Slider Case for iPhone 4 is a two-piece, plastic hardshell case in your choice of black, white, gun metal, raspberry, or mauve. It’s extremely smooth on the outside, with a neoprene-like feel that some people may find slightly “oily.” All the iPhone’s buttons and ports are readily accessible—a single cut-out for the volume buttons and Ring/Silent switch switch makes those controls easier to access than on some similar cases. There are also larger-than-typical openings around the iPhone’s headphone jack and LED flash (the former helps with headphones that use larger plugs, the latter opening, according to Incase, designed to prevent glare). Thicker dock connector cables may not connect properly with the case on, however.
A stand-out feature of the Slider Case is that it comes with a small, plastic stand for propping up your iPhone 4 on a desk or table when watching video content. The stand even provides two options for viewing angles. Considering the Slider Case is the same price as many other similar cases, the stand a nice bonus.
