Japanese retail company Muji has released three new productivity apps for the iPad: Muji Calendar, a scheduler app; Muji Notebook, a notebook app; and Muji to Go, a travel assistance app.
Muji Calendar (pictured) is a free scheduler app for iPad that uses pinch-in and pinch-out gestures to let you navigate through different calendar views. It syncs with Google Calendar and lets you view your daily schedule on a 12-hour or 24-hour time scale—making it easier to arrange your appointments on a single screen without scrolling.
Muji Notebook is a $4 notebook app for iPad that features handwriting recognition and a predictive text input ability that lets you take notes and draw sketches in a quick and efficient manner. You can alter the thickness and color of lines and characters, and choose between ruled, gridded, quadrant, and plain page types.
