Miraizon has announced Cinematize 3 Pro, an upgrade of its DVD clip extractor and converter. The software lets users extract audio and video clips from DVDs and save them in formats compatible with popular applications and devices, including QuickTime, iMovie, Final Cut Pro, iDVD, DVD Studio Pro, Keynote, PowerPoint, iTunes, and iPods, iPhones, and YouTube.
The new version features enhanced preview and batch extraction, with a streamlined workflow and better performance, the company says. Cinematize 3 Pro provides a synchronized preview of any combination of video, audio, and subtitle tracks available on a DVD, to help users find the clips they want.
Improved batch extraction lets users extract clips from any part of a DVD, using the same or different settings, and all in one shot. A thumbnail view lets users easily find their clips in the extraction list. Users can edit, duplicate, replace, and reorganize selections and even combine all the clips into a single movie. The extraction list can also be saved and loaded so users can later extract or add additional clips to a list.
In addition to QuickTime, DV, AVI, MPEG-4, iPod, and still picture formats, Cinematize 3 Pro provides direct output to H.264, iPhone, iPad, and 3GP phone formats. Users can specify output audio sample sizes up to 32 bits and adjust the output volume level. Subtitles can be burned into video. Users can save settings presets without restrictions and load them for reuse. By using threading to take advantage of multiple CPUs, Cinematize 3 Pro offers significantly faster performance, according to the company.
The software works with Intel or PowerPC processors and Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
Miraizon plans to release Cinematize 3 Pro for the Mac in two to three weeks. The download version of the software is priced at $130, while the boxed version costs $150. Upgrade pricing is available for users of previous versions. A free demo will also be available at Miraizon’s Website.
