MacPractice is showing off its updated line of medical record-keeping software at this week’s Macworld Expo 2011, touting its new certification that lets doctors and hospitals receive federal subsidies to adopt electronic record-keeping.
The line of Mac and iOS clinical software for doctors, dentists, chiropractors, and optometrists has been upgraded to version 4.1. The centerpiece program, MacPractice MD, has been certified for clinical-quality records pertaining to weight assessment for children, preventive care and screening for tobacco use and screening, colorectal cancer screening, childhood immunizations, flu prevention, diabetes, and adult weight screening. The program has received approval from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology, which is authorized to certify electronic record-keeping programs eligible for federal incentives.
Other newly upgraded programs on display at Macworld 2011 are MacPractice DDS for dentists; MacPractice DC for chiropractors; and MacPractice 20/20 for optometrists. The company also has a Web interface designed specifically for iPhone and iPad.
All the MacPractice programs are available for viewing at Macworld booth No. 302 through Saturday.
