Getting a photo from your iPhone to your iPad can be a tricky process, but a new app makes it a little easier to build a file sharing bridge between your iOS devices.
Everyshare allows users to share supported files—including pictures, documents, songs, and movies—between the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, so long as the devices are connected via Bluetooth or sharing the same local Wi-Fi network.
The app is easier to use, though, if you connect your devices to a computer first. It’s there that you can add files to Everyshare through the app folder in iTunes; otherwise it doesn’t appear to grab the music or photos that are already stored on your phone or tablet. After you’ve added those files manually to the app, they’re available to share wirelessly. Both devices must be running Everyshare in order for files to transfer.
The app is $1—one purchase will let you download the app to all iOS devices—and compatible with any iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 4.0 or later.
