Just because Macworld 2011 is over doesn’t mean an end to the flow of new cases and keyboards for the iPad. Now Rocketfish has jumped into the increasingly crowded fray with its own iCapsule keyboard-case for Apple’s tablet device.
The iCapsule is an integrated Bluetooth keyboard that snaps shut into a 2.2-pound clamshell carrying case for the iPad. (Notebooks.com points out that the shell features a cutaway so that users can still show off their Apple cred when toting their iPad to work or the coffee shop.) Typing can be done while the device is in either portrait or landscape mode.
The keyboard is powered by a pair of AA batteries; there’s no word how long the device can perform with a fresh pair of batteries, but Rocketfish promises it is designed for “low power consumption.”
The Rocketfish iCapsule keyboard costs $100, and is available for sale through the Best Buy Website.
