By giving users the ability to easily read and edit PDF and text documents, GoodReader for iPad has quickly become one of the most popular and highly praised productivity apps around. Now an update to the app offers users the ability to immediately disseminate those edited documents to large organizations.
The newly released GoodReader for iPad 3.3, an offering from Russia-based Good.iWare, contains a number of new and improved features, but most notable is the ability to make document edits immediately accessible to other readers by tapping the app’s “sync” button. That action publishes the changes to the corresponding document on a remote server that can be accessed by colleagues and co-workers. Good.iWare says the function will be handy for far-flung companies with large workforces, such as airlines and manufacturers with national sales forces.
Other major new features in GoodReader 3.3 include the ability to download entire folders—instead of single documents—from remote servers, and the added capability to share documents via SugarSync. GoodReader continues to support document sharing via MobileMe, Dropbox, box.net, and any other WebDAV or FTP server.
GoodReader for iPad costs $3, and is compatible with tablets running iOS 3.2 or later.
