Love is in the air, and STDs are in… well, you know where. Your reminder for Monday, February 14, 2011 is that it’s Valentine’s Day. Your remainders are as follows:
Train wins first ever Grammy for iTunes original content (Loop Insight)
When the Grammys weren’t busy pairing Cee-Lo with Muppets, they were busy making Apple history. Train’s song “Hey, Soul Sister” won Best Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals—and said song was recorded exclusively for the band’s iTunes Session EP. The track is the most-downloaded song in Columbia Records history, with more than 5 million downloads—which coincidentally matches the number of times it was played on your local pop radio station in the past hour.
Need a condom? NYC has an iPhone app for that (CNNMoney.com)
If you’re going to play “Hey, Soul Sister” to woo your lady friend this Valentine’s Day, you might want to grab the New York City Health Department’s Condom Finder app. The app guides Manhattanites to the nearest city-sponsored free condoms. Remember, kids: practice safe multi-touching.
A telephoto lens for an iPhone? Yep (CNET)
If you’re alone this Valentine’s Day, perhaps your neighbors aren’t. We’re not saying you should spy on distant romancing couples using a telephoto lens for your iPhone, but it’s our duty to report that you could.
AT&T selling iPad accessories for 50 percent off, iPad 2 coming soon? (Boy Genius Report)
If you forgot to buy your loved one a gift, fret not: Boy Genius Report claims that AT&T stores will start selling iPad accessories for half-price Tuesday, which BGR hypothesizes means new iPad models (which apparently would require new iPad accessories) are imminent. Actually, since you’re late already, why not just wait until the iPad 2 arrives, and then get your miffed lover that instead?
