MotionX GPS installed on your iPhone, you’ll always know where you are and where you’re headed. With the latest updated to the navigational app, you can keep your friends informed about your whereabouts, too.
Released this week to the App Store, version 15.1 of MotionX GPS adds a new geotagging feature, improved controls and various bug fixes. But the highlight of this update is clear the app’s newfound ability to broadcast your location to other users to help them find their way to you via their own iOS device.
According to developer
Fullpower Technologies, users access real-time sharing through MotionX GPS’s menu system. Sharing takes place via a customized channel that limits the sharing feature to a specific group of friends. You’re able to customize how frequently your position is updated, the radius in which you want to views the positions of friends, and the time for displaying position updates.
Users can already capture photos of their locations with the MotionX-GPS app, but devices that run on iOS 4.0 can now get full resolution and geotagging capabilities for them.
The new version also allows users to turn the Track Recorder on and off under the Voice Coaching tab in settings.
In addition to updating the app, Fullpower also cut its price for a limited time. You can download MotionX GPS for just $1 through March 15. The app runs on any iOS device with iOS 3.1 or later.
