Rejoice, fellow iTunes indentured users fans, for Apple has released a minor update that does something besides just “fix bugs and improve stability.”
iTunes 10.2.2 tackles a small handful of issues, mostly focused on hiccups in the iOS device sync process. iTunes should no longer choke up when syncing with an iPad, and long iOS sync times when photos are involved should be gone. The full list of changes goes a little something like this:
Addresses an issue where iTunes may become unresponsive when syncing an iPad.
Resolves an issue which may cause syncing photos with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to take longer than necessary.
Fixes a problem where video previews on the iTunes Store may skip while playing.
Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance.
iTunes 10.2.2 is a 75.59MB update for Mac if you grab it from Apple’s support document. The version available in Software Update on my iMac is just 24.5MB.
