Mac security specialist Intego has released Backup Express, a backup and synchronization tool, in the Mac App Store.
It can back up files from your Home folder—as well as from any other disks and volumes for which you have permission—to a variety of different media including external hard drives, removable media, CDs, DVDs, network volumes, and disk images.
Creating backup scripts is simple, according to Intego: You can schedule your backups to run in the background, run full or incremental backups, and choose to keep multiple versions of files, or just the latest edition.
Backup Express will be available for $10 for a limited time from the Mac App Store for Macs running OS X 10.6 or later; after the promotional period, it will retail for $15.
