Our Verdict
The Yoobao Executive Leather iPad 2 Case is a perfect option for those who want the versatility of a folio case and the look and feel of a leather case, without the bulk or the price.
As far as leather iPad 2 cases go, not only is Yoobao’s $40 Executive Leather Case one of the most functional I’ve seen, it’s also one of the least expensive. It has all of the basic functions of a folio: multiple landscape viewing stand options; full iPad protection; and cutouts for all ports, cameras, and buttons—but it also has some features that set it apart from the rest.
The case successfully supports the iPad 2’s magnetic sleep/wake feature, consistently turning the device on and off when you open and close the cover. The case itself is made of real leather and comes in brown, red, and black, and has a suede interior to keep your iPad screen clean. You slip the iPad into the case through the spine side, and it’s held securely in place by a soft piece of leather, so you don’t have to worry about any Velcro scratching the device.
The Executive Leather Case is lightweight but provides good protection for your iPad 2 without having to wrap it in hard plastic. Two drawbacks to the case are its small speaker openings and lack of elastic strap or clasp to keep the case closed. Other than that, the Yoobao Executive Leather Case is a perfect option for those who want the versatility of a folio case and the look and feel of a leather case, without the bulk or the price.
