This week's round up of new accessories for your iPhone and iPad is flush with wireless functionality, including everything from speakers to alarms to utilizing Siri in a brand-new way.
The $80 Campagno Air Blueooth 3.0 Scissor-Switch Keyboard & Folio “includes a standard 64-key layout with iPad and Multimedia Hotkeys to easily access iPad shortcuts with one touch,” says the company. It weighs 1.3 pounds, and offers up to 100 hours of continuous use on a single charge of its battery.
The Duet Co.
Yes, your iPhone comes with the Find My iPhone” feature, but if you’re looking for even more ways to keep from losing your phone, the $19 Duet might be your choice. It features a Bluetooth-enabled tag that attaches to your keychain, wallet, or bag. If the phone wanders more than 10 meters from the tag, the phone sounds an alarm.
The $40 Swivel Screen Portfolio Case is a Bluetooth keyboard case for the iPad Air. When open, it lets the Air swivel into either portrait or landscape orientation. The Swivel comes in silver, black, or gold.
This accessory maker has released three new speaker systems. The $100 iDL46 (pictured) is a dual-alarm, clock-radio speaker dock that fits an iPad, iPhone, or iPod. The $80 iBN26 isn’t a dock, but offers Bluetooth for wireless connectivity with iOS devices. The $70 iPL22 is a clock-radio speaker dock for the iPhone. The first two devices are available now; the third will go on sale in May.
The $79 Mobile Home looks like a garage door opener—just clip it to the sun visor in your car—but it has a different function: It lets you activate Siri on your iPhone without fumbling too much with your iOS device while driving. Just reach up, punch a button, and start talking.
The $50 Power Reserve is a 1350-mAh backup battery for your iPhone that attaches to your key ring, so that it’s always with you. It’s available in black, white, or red.
The $50 PureMove Armband is designed for exercise. It's lightweight for comfort, made with a wicking material to keep it from getting soggy with sweat, and trimmed with reflective material so you’re visible to traffic.
