One blogger put together pictures of all of Apple’s retail stores; Jean-Louis Gassée dishes on why he’s glad he didn’t end up back at Apple; and the next revolution may be brain-controlled iPhones. The remainders for Friday, November 11, 2011 know exactly what you’re thinking.
Apple Storefronts (Apple Storefronts)
Want to see the front of every Apple Store? You know you do. Flick through this blog—hey, there’s my local store, #27!—and you may notice an overarching theme of sameness, though. Would it killed them to have just one that looks like a castle or something awesome?
Gassée: Thank God Apple chose Steve Jobs’s NeXT over my BeOS (9to5 Mac)
You might know Jean-Louis Gassée from his time at Apple, where he served as the head of Macintosh development after Steve Jobs’s departure in 1985. iPhone 4S de Claro Puerto Rico (Claro)
Turns out you can pick up an iPhone 4S for just $100 with contract—if you live in Puerto Rico. Let me save you the trouble: It’s not worth it to sign up for a plan in Puerto Rico just to save the hundred bucks.
Project Black Mirror (Project Black Mirror)
Controlling your iPhone with your voice is so last week. A few guys claim to have rigged a system where they can control Siri using nothing more than the power of their mind. (And a host of other equipment.) Is it real? Who cares! You know you want it to be.
