Skitch launched Wednesday in the App Store. Users can add shapes, arrows, and text to images from their iPad’s camera roll, or mark up map and web images from Skitch’s internal browser. Unlike offerings such as GoodReader or Adobe Reader, however, PDF annotation doesn’t appear to be an option in this app.
The annotated images can be shared via email, Facebook, Twitter, or Evernote. Users can also display the images using AirPlay, showing the mark-ups on any screen with an Apple TV attached.
The app is available only for iPad; Evernote says an iPhone version is in the works. Skitch is free, and compatible with tablets running iOS 5.0 or later.
