Apple is attempting to quell concerns among Cupertino residents about the construction of its new spaceship campus. Among the takeaway messages? The new grounds will not be open to the public. Because only so many can be saved when the campus blasts off for Apple’s new colony world.

Speaking of investing in facilities, Foxconn is spending $210 million to build a new plant that appears to largely be focused on building Apple products. It’ll cover an area of 40,000 square meters and require about 35,800 new employees. But CEO Terry Gou wants you to know that it is totally not for the Apple TV.

Because you can’t make this stuff up: “This week’s session, scheduled for two days, will take place in a federal courtroom 40 miles north of Silicon Valley, in San Francisco’s seedy Tenderloin neighborhood. It will be up to U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph Spero—a bow-tie wearing extrovert with a reputation for handling complex cases—to corral the CEOs and their lawyers toward a settlement.” Boy, I hope Aaron Sorkin signed a two-movie deal.

Speaking of Apple movies, the other film based on the late Steve Jobs’s life—you know, the one headlined by that 70s guy—will film in the actual garage where Jobs and Woz founded Apple. Sadly, that does not make up for the fact that they have really, actually, truly renamed the film to jOBS.
