Everyone wants a piece of the smartphone business—including Mozilla. The company behind the Firefox browser debuted a preview of its new mobile OS on Monday, called (unsurprisingly) Firefox OS. Mozilla’s aim? To create a “truly open alternative” to iOS, Android, and other mobile platforms. Because only a Firefox could fan these flames any higher.

iCloud Beta Previews Web Versions of Notes and Reminders (MacRumors)
It seems Apple is wasting no time beefing up iCloud now that MobileMe has sailed off into the sunset: iOS 6 beta testers reputedly now have access to new iCloud.com Web app versions of Notes and Reminders, along with tweaks to Calendar and Find My iPhone. Messages, however, is nowhere to be seen—according to sources, it was having some trouble finding the Web.
Chinese Household Chemical Company Sues Apple For “Snow Leopard” Trademark (MIC Gadget)
It hasn’t even been a day since Apple settled the “iPad” trademark lawsuit with Proview, but hey, the more frivolous lawsuits, the better, right? This go-around, it’s a Chinese chemical company who claims that Apple is violating its trademark on the Chinese translation of Snow Leopard, “Xuebao.” Unfortunately, Apple Legal reportedly misread the document, and instead had AppleCare send a memo to the company suggesting that it abandon Snow Leopard and upgrade to Lion for better Chinese-language compatibility.
