Apple Wants To Buy Pinterest Rival, The Fancy (Business Insider)
Business Insider thinks Apple may be interested in acquiring a social network called The Fancy, which specializes in letting users share items they, well, fancy—and kicking back a percentage of purchases of those items to The Fancy, of course. Apple CEO Tim Cook even has an account on the service, though as of this writing, it’s been made private. But, on the upside, if you’re Christmas shopping for Cook, you know exactly which pricey Triathlon bike he wants.

Apple’s apparently remodeling its flagship San Francisco store, eliminating one of the last remaining Apple Store theaters. So much for my hope that Apple had planned a vaudeville revival series.
Macs Make a Cameo During Mars Curiosity Landing (The Mac Observer)
Early this morning, the Mars Curiosity rover touched down on the red planet’s surface. And aiding in that spectacular landing were more than a few Macs, as a glimpse of mission control showed. So, basically, the Mars rover landing was apparently controlled from my local coffee shop.
