Hon Hai Says iPhone 5 Design Leads to Production Delays (Wall Street Journal, subscription required)
Apple manufacturing partner Hon Hai (better known as Foxconn in some corners) says it just can’t make the iPhone 5 fast enough to supply Apple’s demand. The difficulties apparently have to do with the Taiwanese company being unable to meet quality standards due to production issues related to design. Translation: The iPhone 5 is so light, it’s literally floating away. Apple Ordered to Pay $368 Million in Patent Case Brought by VirnetX (AllThingsD)
Patent holding firm VirnetX reaped a payday this week, as a federal jury in Texas ordered Apple to shell out $368 million for patent infringement. The four patents in question were related to establishing VPNs and domain names; the infringing element was, apparently, FaceTime. Still unsettled is a patent dispute over the iPhone launched by Dick Tracy.

Apple senior vice president of Internet software and services Eddy Cue has joined the board of Ferrari. Yes, that Ferrari. Cue apparently has been a Ferrari owner for the last five years, but has he ever invited us for a ride? Nooooooooo.
