The Week in iOS Accessories: CES-travaganza, Part 1

This week’s Consumer Electronics Show presents an extravaganza of new gadgets, including an array of iOS accessories. Here are some of the iPhone-, iPod-, and iPad-ready products that debuting this week in Las Vegas.

This audio accessory maker has debuted a number of new products at CES, including the $300 Speaker Trio, a wireless stereo system that lets you control three different speakers, 120 feet apart, all from a single iPhone or iPod touch.

This company is unveiling two new vehicle accessories at CES: the Mi-T Grip Mount (pictured), a dash mount that lets you see your iPhone while you’re on the road, and the Universal Tablet Window Mount, which lets you hang your iPad from the inside of your windshield. Bracketron has not yet provided info on pricing or availability.

Eton is debuting a number of products at CES, including the $100 BoostSolar solar-powered backup batteries (pictured), the Rugged Rukus wireless speaker system, and the brawnier Rukus XL speaker system. All the products will be available before or during the second quarter of 2013.

The $800 MultiCharger-X is built for companies, schools, or a really, really iOS-centric home. This security cabinet lets you charge up to 10 iPads at the same time. The unit stays cool with ventilated sides.

The $90 Meridian iPhone 5 Protective Case & External Battery debuts at CES this week, and it’s exactly what the name says. It comes in white, black, or red, and it ships in February.

The Mocet Communicator is an office phone system with the iPad at its core. Mocet hasn’t announced pricing or availability, but the system can be seen in the company’s booth at CES.

The $229 Jongo S340B made its debut at CES as the latest wireless streaming audio speaker system from Pure. You can have it in any color as long as its black or, for $30 more, burnt orange, lime green, mango, or white. The item hits the market later in the first quarter of 2013.

This accessory company debuted its RH1060 Reference Grade Bluetooth Headphones at CES. The over-ear phones have a Bluetooth range of 33 feet and nine hours of battery life to keep the music pumpin’. Scosche has not yet offered pricing or availability information.

A pair of new products from this company include the $249 Dash7 (pictured), an ultra-slim hi-fi speaker bar that streams music wirelessly from your iPhone or iPad, and the $179 Duet, a system that combines subwoofers and portable speakers for a powerful wireless music experience.

The $199 Disco Twin Bluetooth speakers offer up to 10 hours of stereo listening between charges, streaming music wirelessly from your iOS device. The price tag covers a set of two speakers.

The $250 Origin is a Bluetooth-wireless speaker system with two-in-one capabilities: You can take the smaller part of the unit on the go, or dock it into the larger and more powerful speaker for bigger sound at home. Zagg is also unveiling a number of headphone and earbud products this week at CES.
