Apple to Begin iPhone Production This Quarter (Wall Street Journal, subscription required)
It’s always fun when a respected outlet like the Journal decides to jump into the rumor pond. The publication says that Apple will likely release an iPhone “similar in size and shape to its current one” sometime this summer, as well as perhaps a less expensive iPhone with a different casing in the second half of the year. In other words, the forecast calls for one to two iPhones, sometime in a six month period. Nailed it.

Legendary computer scientist Alan Kay says in an interview that “much of the iPad UI is very poor in a myriad of ways,” including a lackluster implementation of “Undo” on the iPad. Also revealed in the interview: Alan Kay hates the Etch-a-Sketch.

The Funny or Die Steve Jobs movie, due out on April 15, now has a trailer, the only notable part of which is a way-too-intense rant from Justin Long as Steve Jobs. I just wish they’d gotten John Hodgman to play Woz.
