In this week’s iPad-case roundup, you’ll find a bag inspired by everyone’s favorite professor of archaeology, a protective accessories that lets your tablet stick to a wall, and the usual selection of great cases for all tastes.

The WorkMate (iPad mini; $40) is a shock-absorbing, hardshell case built using a dual-layer design to help protect your tablet from bumps and falls during active use.
The WorkMate comes in slate grey or red.

The Folio Stand (iPad mini; $20) is made from synthetic leather and flips around to double as a stand for viewing and typing in landscape orientation. It features a secure Velcro closure and is compatible with the iPad mini’s magnetic sleep functionality.
The case comes in black, hot pink, purple, green, navy, blue, red, orange, and a variety of multicolor patterns.

This company has announced an iPad mini version of its popular Fre ($100) case. Like its predecessors, the new Fre provides excellent all-around protection against immersion, the elements, and man-made accidents while maintaining access to the iPad mini’s screen, as well as its controls, cameras, and ports.

The FabricSkin Folio (iPad 2, 3, and 4; $150) incorporates a wireless Bluetooth keyboard in a compact and lightweight case that features plenty of protection and style.
The case, which uses hidden magnets to hold up your tablet in convenient viewing and typing landscape orientations, is liquid-resistant and is available in red, black, blue, or yellow.

The VTM16 (iPad mini; $50) is a thin case that helps protect your mini tablet from the abuse of everyday use. But it’s key feature—not surprising, given Sanus’s specialty—is a special magnetic adaptor that fits into the included wall mount, allowing you to affix your tablet to vertical surfaces and orient it in a variety of ways.

The Vuscape (iPad mini; $40) is a hardshell case with a built-in stand that props up your tablet for viewing or typing at a single angle in landscape orientation.
The case features a scratch- and water-resistant soft lining for excellent durability and to protect your tablet from bumps and accidental falls.

Inspired by the ever-popular Indiana Jones, the Indy (iPad 2, 3, 4, and mini; $169 to $179) is made from soft, distressed leather that gives it the perfect “weathered outdoorsy” look for the urban adventurer.
The Indy features an inside pocket lined with ultra suede, and provides plenty of space for accessories and cables. It comes with green, red, brown, teal, black, or white accents.

The SmartJacket (iPad mini; $35) slim-fits your tablet and protects its back and sides from bumps and scratches, all the while sporting a stylish texture that improves grip and adds a splash of fashion sense.
The case’s flexible cover doubles as a stand for viewing and typing in landscape orientation, and it’s compatible with the iPad mini’s magnetic sleep/wake functionality. It comes in black, white, aqua, or purple.
