You’ll find lots of waterproof accessories in this week’s iPhone case roundup—perfect for the summer—alongside our usual selection of cases that keep your handset elegant and safe.

Despite its name, the Hydra Series (iPhone 5; $80) won’t make your handset sprout new heads if you drop it. It will, however, protect it from all sorts of shocks and environmental hazards, and can withstand water in depths of up to seven feet for 30 minutes.
It’s available in solid black with various accent colors; pick between white, light grey, pink, green, or charcoal accents.

The Endurance 5 (iPhone 5; $70) keeps your iPhone dry thanks to its waterproof design that also includes a special membrane-based audio transducer.
The front cover allows you to maintain complete access to your screen, and the case even has a slot at the back where you can safely stash away a credit or ID card.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your phone calls stress you out, the ECGCheck (iPhone 4S and 5; $129) will help you measure your heartbeat. Just place your fingers on two special sensors on its back.
In addition to supporting a variety of features, it comes with a Web-based system capable of long-term storage of historical data for medical use.

The Mara Hoffman Collection (iPhone 5; $40) features six new designs conceived by the eponymous artist printed on the company’s popular Snap Case.
The cases sport six different motifs inspired by nature, fantasy, mythology, and magic, and are available in a variety of colors.

The Axtion Go (iPhone 5; $50) combines a textured, fashion-conscious look with a design that provides a high level of protection, thanks to multiple layers of materials that are both splash- and shock-proof.
It comes in black, white, pink, or aqua.

The Wounded Warrior Defender (iPhone 4, 4S, and 5; $50 to $60) pairs the company’s popular heavy-duty cases with a logo from the Wounded Warrior Project.
According to the company, five percent from each sale will be donated to the Project, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families.

The Safe 5 (iPhone 5; $50) keeps your iPhone 5 safe from full immersion in up to three feet of water for 30 minutes.
Tough and rugged, the case will be available at the end of July in blue, yellow, or orange.

The Signature (iPhone 5; $60) is all about fine materials and precision craft. Made from Italian leather and stainless steel, it is brushed using a special nylon-based process that leaves a smooth exterior with a unique look.
According to the manufacturer, it will be available later this summer in black or red, with either black or white inserts to match the color of your handset.
