With summer in full swing, many case manufacturers are turning their attention towards the fall, which means we’ve got some fashionable designs in this week’s case roundup. If high fashion isn’t your thing, we’ve also got a couple high-tech accessories your viewing and protecting pleasure.

From the popular clothing and apparel chain comes the Tasseled (iPhone 5; $38), a sturdy, snap-on case with an intaglio motif and four tassels hanging from a loop on the top-left corner.
Made from a combination of leather, plastic, and silk, it includes all the appropriate cutouts to ensure that you can continue to enjoy access to your phone’s cameras and controls while the case is on.

The Exotic Wood Cover Series (iPhone 5; $60) is engineered to perfection using a solid piece of wood bonded to a high-quality plastic shell that protects your iPhone while giving it a warm, natural look and feel.
The case comes in a variety of woods, including walnut, ebony, and rosewood.

The Altos (iPhone 5; $55) is a wallet-style snap case made from premium European leather, with a hard-plastic cradle that holds your phone securely in place.
The case comes in black, brown, or red.

The Vivid Plus (iPhone 5; $25) is light and durable, and it’s available in a selection of bright and bold colors including orange, pink, lime green, and cyan.
The Vivid Plus offers protection against shocks and scratches, with a tight-fitting body made from custom-molded, high-quality plastic with a high-gloss finish.

The Ultra Fit (iPhone 5; $10) is made from thin-but-resilient polycarbonate that gives you excellent protection without needlessly bulking up your handset.
The case comes in metal slate, smooth white, or smooth black, and features a special coating that gives it an excellent grip to help prevent accidental drops.

The Kaptur 270 (iPhone 4 and 4S; $39) helps you take better pictures by providing a grip panel that’s situated far from the lens, thus helping you better stabilizing your hand while taking a shot or two.
The case comes in black, white, or a “panda” edition, which lets you mix and match panels of different colors into your unique combination. An iPhone 5 version is also on the way.

Named after the infamous stinging insect, the YelloJacket (iPhone 4, 4S, and 5; $110 to $140) packs quite a punch of its own by incorporating a 650,000 volt stun gun—giving the term “protective device” a whole new meaning.
Although you’re unlikely to get it through airport security, you can get yours in white, yellow, pink, or black.

The Fossil Austin (iPhone 5; $23) keeps things simple—but elegant—with a polyurethane construction and a thin design that protects your phone while ensuring that you continue to enjoy access to all ports, controls, and cameras.
The case comes in black, blue, or orange, with a chevron motif in white, green, or red, respectively.
