CES week means more new iOS-friendly gear than we can cover in one roundup, so here’s this week’s second set of offerings from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This time around, we’ve got keyboards, chargers, and much more.
The Station is a $60, um, station for charging the iPhone 5, 5S, 5c, and fifth-generation iPod touch models. “While charging in The Station, your phone is upright, within reach, and ready to be deployed,” says the company. The dock plugs directly into a wall outlet, making it perfect for counter-height use; it also features a USB port that allows you to charge an additional iOS devices at the same time.
Braven’s newest lineup of products includes the BRV-Bank, a Bluetooth-equipped backup battery that comes in 6000mAh and 8000mAh options, and is accompanied by a USB charging cable and USB flashlight. The Bluetooth connection allows you to monitor the charge level of various devices using Braven’s soon-to-come iOS app. Braven hasn’t yet announced when the BRV-Bank will ship.
The $100 LW-600P is a label printer aimed at smartphones and tablets that prints on tape widths of a quarter-inch and an inch. You can use your mobile device to print wirelessly (via Bluetooth) and create “personalized ribbons and decorative stickers for party favors, gifts, hair decorations, ornaments, flower arrangements and more,” as Epson puts it.
The iPort Charge Case and Stand is an all-in-one iPad case, wireless charger, and stand. The company has announced two versions, a $100 model for the iPad mini and a $120 iPad Air moodel. Both will be available via iPort’s website and at the online Apple Store.
This company has announced the $60 TrueGlide Apex, a stylus with a tip diameter of 2.3mm, which LynkTec claims is a reduction of 90 percent compared to other styluses. The Apex is compatible with a wide variety of iOS apps, and it comes in brushed-silver or obsidian-black colors.
The $100 VersaKeyboard is billed as “the first iPad case with a Bluetooth keyboard that effectively disappears when not in use,” thanks to a slim storage slot on the back side of the case. When in use, the keyboard offers up to 130 hours of work on a single charge. The case is a modified version of Moshi’s Versa, which sports an origami-style folding design that can display your tablet in landscape and portrait orientations.
This accessory maker is launching the $25 SuperCube, which the company says is the smallest 12-watt USB wall charger on the market. It can charge an iPad at the fastest speed possible, and it will be available later this month in black or white. The company hasn’t yet announced pricing.
The SteelSeries Stratus Wireless Gaming Controller is “specifically designed for console-style gameplay” on iOS devices. It features 10 hours of battery life, a D-pad, four action buttons, four pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons, and dual analog sticks. The $100 controller is now available for pre-order.
This company is introducing the Disco4, a wireless Bluetooth speaker that can play more than three hours of music on a two-hour charge. It’s lightweight—coming in at just about a pound—and will be available in the first quarter of this year. Pricing information is not yet available.
A whole bunch of new products from TYLT have debuted at CES, including the Energi Series of battery packs (pictured), the Energi Travel Charger line, the A-Wall travel chargers, and the Alin screen protectors. (The Alin is available in versions for the iPhone 5c, iPad mini, and iPad Air.)
