This week’s iPhone-case roundup has something for everybody, including accessories that will give you extra power, sparkle up your day, lighten up the night, and give unwanted intruders the shock of their lives.

The Link (iPhone 5 and 5s; $30) features a sturdy, two-part construction with interchangeable sections, and is specially designed to work alongside the company’s screen protectors to form a complete cocoon of safety around your handset.
The Link comes in black, grey, purple, blue/black, green/grey, or purple/grey.

The Pie (iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s; price unavailable) incorporates a 3000mAh battery pack in a compact package that protects your handset from bumps and scratches.
Available in green, the Pie recharges your iPhone while you’re on the go, and comes with a convenient attachment that makes filling up the battery itself a breeze.

The Sparkle (iPhone 5 and 5s; $30) is made from a soft material that protects your handset from all sides while doubling as a wallet with two card slots, and as a stand for viewing in landscape orientation. Everything is held together by a convenient magnetic latch.
Available in champagne, pink, or red, the case sports a beautiful floral motif dotted by sparkling rhinestones throughout.

The Symmetry (iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s; $40 to $45) features a dual-layer construction that ensures maximum protection while minimizing the bulk it adds to your handset.
The case comes in a variety of colors, including black, grey/white, pink/purple, and a very luminous “cheetah pink.”

The Flipper (iPhone 5c; €17) is made from eco leather and covers your handset on all sides, conveniently opening with a flip-over action that allows you to quickly access your phone to make a call or check your e-mail.
The case comes in blue, green, pink, white, or yellow.

The Surface Combo (iPhone 5; $50) combines the company’s ultrathin Surface case with a convenient holster that allows you to carry your handset around without having to stuff it in your pocket.
The case comes in matte black, glossy black, gold, white, green, red, purple, blue, or pink.

Fresh from this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, the Candyshell Inked (iPhone 5 and 5s; $40) combines the company’s tough protection with a unique series of beautiful designs.
The series, which is slated to be released during the first quarter of 2014, features four different models, with colors and motifs varying from flowers to night skies and abstract patterns.

The Light (iPhone 5 and 5s; $30) features a clever construction that allows it to redirect your handset’s flash, turning the entire case into a luminous shell that can be used to convey notification in a visual way—or just to find your way out of a dark spot. If you decide that you do want to use your flash, you can use the company’s free companion app to disable the dispersion device, which returns the iPhone’s light to its original function.
The case comes in purple, green, or pink.

This company’s stun-gun case (iPhone 5 and 5s; $150) has been updated to fit recent Apple smartphone models. Like its predecessors, the case can be used to deliver a powerful (but non-lethal) electric shock to an assailant, and features numerous safety mechanisms to ensure that you won’t accidentally zap yourself.
It’s available in black, pink, white, yellow, red, grey, blue, green, or slate.
