All new Macs come with the iLife ’06 suite, which includes the video-editing program iMovie. But how does one edit good video—not to mention shoot good footage in the first place? And how do you figure out which camcorder will help you capture that memorable footage?
Fortunately, Richard Baguley, a freelance writer who contributes to both Macworld and PCWorld, is on hand to give us some camcorder selection and shooting tips. He’s written some camcorder reviews as well as a digital video guide that includes buying advice and shooting tips. Those articles will appear in the September 2006 issue of Macworld which ships to subscribers in late July; you’ll also see some of those articles appearing at Macworld.com in the coming months.

Show notes
I mentioned in the beginning of the podcast that I’ve been trying to watch the World Cup on my Mac, and have been blogging about it on MacUser.
I also mentioned two other articles: our review of Parallels Workstation is now available on Macworld.com and 23 things we want in Leopard, our wish list for OS X 10.5.
Finally, as I mentioned in the end of the podcast, Macworld will closed due to the July 4 holiday from July 3-4, and will be returning on July 5.
