
High fashion, ruggedness, and practical protection all play parts in this week’s roundup of new iPhone cases, with brings you hearts, carbon, and even a little happy meal.

The Carbon (iPhone 5 and 5s; $68) is made from 1.5k carbon fiber for a unique combination of durable protection from bump and scratches and a soft-touch feel.
The case comes in black, and it features all the appropriate openings to ensure that you can continue using your iPhone’s every button and camera.

The Rogue Ducati (iPhone 5 and 5s; $100) offers rugged protection in a lightweight package inspired by the designs of the fabled Italian motorcycle manufacturer.
The case is made from shock-absorbing polymers, with aluminium side rails and a carbon-fiber protective backing.

The Hearts (iPhone 4, 4s, 5, and 5s; $30) is handmade to order and features a unique heart-inspired motif.
The case comes in white or black, and can be ordered in either a hard plastic or silicone material.

The Bumper (iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s; $39) is, claims the company, the world’s first bumper made entirely out wood. It’s handcrafted in the company’s Portland studio from premium materials imported from throughout the United States.
The Bumper comes in walnut or maple.

Designer Justin Teodoro’s CornerFace (iPhone 4, 4s, 5, and 5s; $35) is a plastic, snap-on case that keeps your handset safe from the vagaries of everyday life.
Available in white, The case features a unique printed design inspired by naïf art.

The Clutch (iPhone 5 and 5s; $200) is made from shiny, patent-red PU material, with a convenient closure that keeps your handset safe while not in use.
The case’s interior, lined with soft polyester, includes room for several ID or credit cards, as well as some cash.

The Purse (iPhone 5 and 5s; $135) features the iconic designer’s logo and a convenient, slender, chain shoulder strap.
Available in black and made from plastic, the case is patterned after a quilted purse for a burst of fashion.

The Fries (iPhone 5 and 5s; £45) is designed to look like a serving of fries from McDonalds, complete with spuds rendered in three-dimensional detail.
The case features cutouts for your phone’s camera and buttons, so that you don’t have to, uh, take your pictures through a potato.

The Bulletproof (iPhone 5 and 5s; $33) is made from a proprietary ballistic-glass material that, according to the manufacturer, is nearly impossible to scratch.
The cover comes with a black or white mask, and it promises a bubble-free application process.

The Impact Shield Anti-Glare (iPhone 5 and 5s; $35) features a three-layer structure that relies on the same kind of material used to manufacture bulletproof glass.
Built to absorb and dissipate damaging forces away from your phone’s screen, the Shield features an anti-glare coating that resists yellowing and promises a bubble-free application process that leaves no residue on your iPhone’s screen.

The Saem S6 (all iPhone models; $70) is designed for rugged use in demanding conditions. Water- and shock-resistant, the case features multiple attachments that allows it to be equally at ease on a bicycle’s handlebars or on a hike through the mountains.
Available in black, the case offers all-over protection and includes a built-in screen protector.
