Judging by the showfloor at Macworld/iWorld, just about everyone is fed up with blurry photos shot with shaky hands on your mobile device. We’ve already told you about Emulsio, a mobile app that looks to smooth out the bumps that can occur when you’re shooting video on your iPhone. The developers behind Grip&Shoot have a hardware-based fix for the problem—a trigger that attaches to your phone.

The Grip&Shoot features a case and trigger-equipped handle. iPhone photographers, you may fire when ready.
Pull the trigger on the Grip&Shoot any time you want to take a photo. By not tapping the screen, the thinking goes, there’s less chance of a wobble at the moment you’re snapping that photo. The Grip&Shoot trigger also sports buttons that allow you to zoom in and out on your subject. Best of all, the trigger detaches from the accompanying case but still stays connected to your phone over Bluetooth to act as a remote control. The Era of the Blurry Selfie may soon be over!
The developers behind Grip&Shoot see the accessory as more than just a tool for mobile photographers. They’re putting out an SDK to attract other app makers who might find other ways to employ a detachable trigger. (It seems like game makers might want to give the Grip&Shoot a look.)
For now though, the $100 Grip&Shoot and its free iOS companion app is available for the iPhone 4s, 5, and 5s. The Grip&Shoot website promises Android availability soon.
