
This week’s roundup of new iOS gear includes accessories designed and built with summer in mind; others can be used all year round.

The $60 Xtream S2 line of portable Bluetooth speakers each features “double bass” subwoofer sound and offers 10 hours of music playback time. If you’re instead using the built-in microphone to make speakerphone calls, you get 11 hours of talk time.

The $60 Nova is a wireless external flash for iPhone photos. The company says that “Nova adds soft, natural light so your photos are rich with color, far higher quality and capture the moment exactly how you remember it.”

The $130 Blumoo works with the free iOS app of the same name. The device ties into your home-entertainment system so that you can remotely control all your streaming services (including music services like Spotify) and electronic hardware from your iPhone, from a range of up to 150 feet away.

The $35 Une Bobine is a flexible cable that you can mold into whichever use you need it: a phone charger, a tripod for taking photos, or even a car dash holder for your phone. When not in use, you can just roll it up and tuck it inside your travel bag.

Kanex is offering its new GoPower packs in two sizes: a $50 6,000 mAh version, and a $70 11,000 mAh version. Each pack offers two USB ports for charging multiple iOS devices at the same time. Both models include a slide-out stand to prop up your iPhone, as well as LED indicators to show power levels.

The $70 Rechargeable Apex stylus “features a lithium ion rechargeable battery, 2.3mm tip, pocket clip, and more.” It offers drawing precision for your art-based iPad apps, and power-saving circuitry turns the stylus off after 30 minutes of inactivity.

The $50 BoomBottle mini (pictured) and the $100 BoomBottle H20 both provide Bluetooth-wireless audio streaming for your summer fun. The latter model offers up to 11 hours of playback time and, as the name suggests, is water resistant for poolside use. The mini offers 10 hours of playback time. Each is are offered in your choice of one of three eye-catching colors.

The Cargito Charging iPad Case, available in a $165 iPad Air version and a $155 iPad mini version, is a beautiful leather carrying case that also includes a battery pack and Lightning-connector cable so that you can recharge your device while on the go. The product ships this summer, and each version is available in your choice of colors.
