One of the items in this week’s roundup of new iPhone cases lets you carry around a bit of sporting history, while others keep your handset dry, safe, or just looking comfortably fabulous.

The Every1 (iPhone 5 and 5s; $50) is impact resistant up to six feet, thanks to reinforced corners and air-cushion shock absorbers.
The case, which also features a built-in kickstand and optional holster clip, comes in several combinations of white, black, blue, green, pink, and purple.

The Snapgrip (iPhone 5 and 5s; $70) features a detachable grip that allows you safely grip your phone and control its photo-taking ability with a series of controls that manage everything from focus to shutter release.
The case, which also sports a standard quarter-inch thread for attachment to a tripod, is available in white or black.

The Catalyst (iPhone 5 and 5s; $65) is waterproof up to five meters and meets military standards for drop resistance up to two meters.
The case is available in pink, white, black, or blue.

The Xtreme (iPhone 5 and 5s; $40) is made from a special material that offers an exceptional grip but stiffens on impact to offer improved shock protection.
The case is available in black with red, white, blue, pink, or black highlights, or in yellow with black highlights.

The Rustic (iPhone 5 and 5s; $22) is made from a plastic material decorated with a real-wood veneer that can be customized with an image and some text of your choosing.
A dozen different woods are available, including oak, mahogany, maple, birch, teak, and more.

The Mojo Refuel Aqua S (iPhone 5 and 5s; $120) is a waterproof case that can withstand immersion in up to ten feet of water and features a swappable 2200 mAh battery unit.
Available in black with an optional red bumper, which will set you back an extra $5, the case is also fully compatible with the iPhone 5s’s TouchID sensor.

The Hockey Phone Case (iPhone 5 and 5s; $44) is made from a plastic frame in which two fragments taken from real hockey sticks—previously used during professional or college games—are embedded.
The case’s tough, polycarbonate casing ensures excellent protection from bumps and scratches.

The Slim (all iPhone models; $30 to $98) can be customized with your photos, arranged according to one of several designs of your choosing.
The case comes in three variants, including one that sports a built-in battery, and either a glossy or matte finish.

The TurtleCell 101 (iPhone 5 and 5s; $50) features a built-in pair of earbuds with inline microphone and retractable cables that ensures you’ll never have to deal with tangled wires again.
The case comes in black, grey, aqua, or red.
