This week’s roundup brings you apps for all kinds of activities—spooky sci-fi games, staying in touch with the outside world, and getting into shape.

This $3 app, which streams video live from your iPhone to your TV through your Apple TV, has added some new features. Now you can add even more effects on the fly, including Bloom FX and 3D, while 3D offers two different modes: cyan/red with matching glasses or side-by-side. Plus, users can now record their stream in three different formats—HD, VGA, or normal.

Version 9.6.0 of the Endomondo app arrives in the New Year ready to help you keep your resolutions. How? Updates to this fitness app let you create challenges, invite friends to help you meet them, and commit to a weekly training goal and stick with it.

This free photo-journaling app features a new design for its “Days” feature, making it easier to see your photos represented as days in your life. It also now includes new sharing features, and an improved search function that lets you easily find anniversaries, notes, cities, neighborhoods, restaurants, people, and more.

Remember call forwarding? Hotel My Phone does pretty much the same thing that old landline feature did—route calls and texts to a friend’s iPhone. Why would you do that? Because the battery on your iPhone got low and you wanted to stay in touch with the outside world.

Creepy! “Answer a mayday call from a lone survivor stranded on a derelict spaceship. Only you can help your survivor make it off a ship overrun by virus-infected crew members. Use 10+ voice commands to guide your friend to safety through 5 levels of increasing mayhem—all while uncovering the terrible secret behind what happened to the crew of the USS Appaloosa.”
Our friends at The Verge say of this $3 app: “It’s a short, intimate experience, and one that I can’t stop thinking about.”

Square Cash is already just about the easiest way to send or recieve money electronically to and from friends and family. The latest update lets you use Touch ID as security for transactions, and a new benefit: You get a $5 bonus for each friend you get to try the app.

“Extreme parking” sounds like an oxymoron, but this free game for iPhone and iPad does its best to live up to that description, offering features that let you test Top Gear’s precision-driving course or race against “The Stig.” There’s even something called “destruction mode.” Time to go vrooom.

Like Endomondo, Under Armour’s fitness app has been revamped so you can create new challenges to meet and use to compete against friends. Other new features include graphs that let you analyze steps, workouts, sleep, and weight data over time, as well as a portal to buy Under Armour fitness gear online.

Feedly has updated with new font options … Google Hangouts now has an updated location-sharing feature … Sesame Street Video Maker lets you (natch) make videos using Sesame Street characters.
