The app supports a variety of formats, from the ever-popular Markdown all the way down to comma-separated value files. All you need to do is drop your sources on its window, order them in just the way you want, and let Assembler do its magic.

All this information can then be collated into projects, and synchronized with other apps in your Apple ecosystem, like Calendar, Mail, and so on.

There’s no shortage of apps that want to clean your hard disk these days, but Nektony’s $5  Duplicates Expert ( Mac App Store Link) stands out thanks to its beautiful user interface that looks great and is easy to use.

The app can quickly scan a directory of your choice and map out duplicate (or even similar) files one by one, showing you a breakdown of what it finds, and giving you hints on easy ways to save space.

Mariners Software’s $20 Narrator ( Mac App Store Link) takes a text file and reads it out loud using voice synthesis. 

The app is great for hearing how that business letter you just wrote really sounds, or just reading the news to you. It can also help you prepare for a speech, as its technology allows you to tweak the voice’s rate, pitch, inflection, and volume. In addition to being funnelled to your speakers, the resulting output can also be saved as a file or exported directly to iTunes—making creating your own audio books a breeze.

Magno Urbano’s Photos 4 Documents allows you to edit your photos so that they match the ID specs mandated by nearly 200 worldwide government organizations—perfect for applying for your next passport or fishing license.

The app gives you simple templates that are easy to follow and ensures professional results every time—even if you are not a professional photographer.

Modesitt Software’s $4 Photo GeoTag ( Mac App Store Link) allows you to access and edit the metadata associated with your pictures.
