
There’ve been lots of Angry Birds games in recent years, but until this week never a true sequel to the original.

There have been so many variations on Angry Birds the last few years—just in Star Wars games alone—but never an official sequel. The wait is over: Angry Birds 2 is a freemium iOS game that offers even more challenges, more pigs, and, as the game makers say, “more destruction.” Have fun!

The $5 Boxer email client for iOS launched this week in Version 6.0, this time introducing contacts and a calendar into the app. There’s also a new full-screen iPad view, as well as Apple Watch support for notifications.

Guerilla Filmmaker is a $4 iPhone app that gives aspiring video directors manual control over exposure, white balance, focus, and timed automation sequences. The latter feature lets you set up a shot in advance—then record it, hands-free.

We told you a couple of weeks ago about the Blue Apron app, which features cooking tips and access to the eponymous meal-kit delivery service. HelloFresh is pretty much the exact same thing, only for this app’s eponymous meal-kit delivery service. It’s a way to ensure “hassle-free, fresh and delicious meals every night of the week!”

Yahoo Livetext is like Google Hangouts, only later to arrive. It features video calls and one-on-one text messaging abilities. If you’re resisting Google’s charms, here’s an alternative for you.

VSCO Cam adds a new social feature—collections—that lets you “interact with the photographers who move you most by saving and sharing their work within your own gallery.” One other new feature in the app: You can take photos by pressing your phone’s volume button.
