This week’s roundup features two email apps—one new, one with a powerful new update. Will either find a place on your iOS device? Read on and decide.

The $7 Dispatch has long let you triage your email in complex fashion, supporting interactions with more than 20 third-party apps so you can, say, put an email on your to-do list for later attention rather than let it consume you right away. Version 3.0 has launched with one big new feature: It’s now available for the iPad.

The newest feature in Etsy is Etsy Local—“a new tool to help you find upcoming events and nearby stores featuring Etsy sellers.” That’s right: A shopping app that connects you to the brick-and-mortar world.

The innovation in the Geronimo email app is the introduction of “hot corners”—a concept you might already know from your Mac desktop computer. The corners are customizable, letting you plow through and organize your messages in the most efficient fashion.

What does Namewhale do? It helps you pick a name for your startup business. “Using an intelligent, seed-based algorithm, tens of thousands of names are generated based on the sound, style, and feel of the seed words you chose.” Domain check is part of the process, so you’ll know immediately if the name is available for purchase.

Social Action ($1) lets you post directly to Facebook or Twitter directly from your Apple Watch. (Don’t worry, watchless iOS lovers: You can use the app to post from your iPhone, as well.)

The latest offering from the Square business app empire is Square Appointments: It’s an interactive business calendar, as you might expect. “Clients can book online and receive automatic appointment reminders that reduce no-shows.” This company clearly wants to touch every aspect of your business that it can.

TuneIn is a great radio app—it plays most terrestrial radio stations—and now it comes with a “premium” feature: Pay $8 a month for access to Major League Baseball and English Premiere League games, 40,000 audiobooks, and 600 stations of commercial-free music.

The best new feature in Workflow? The “Today Widget,” which lets you pull down your Notification Center to check your task list, make changes, and generally get things done even more efficiently.

Instagram now supports landscape and portrait mode … Pocket now offers more reading recommendations … EA Sports UFC (pictured) has added Bruce Lee to its roster of fighters.
