
This week’s roundup of new iPad cases features a revamped version of Apple’s Smart Cover, a functional all-in-one bag from Waterfield Designs, and freshly-announced options from Speck, Case Logic, Zagg, and more—with plenty of options for Apple’s latest iPad models.

Apple just released a new Smart Cover (iPad mini 4; $39) that’s specifically for the iPad mini 4. (Since the iPad mini 4 is significantly thinner than older versions of the iPad mini, your existing Smart Cover may not work properly with Apple’s newest member of the family.)
Like its predecessor, the Smart Cover is compatible with the iPad mini’s magnetic sleep/wake feature, doubles as a stand for viewing and typing in landscape orientation, and comes in white, charcoal gray, stone, blue, turquoise, midnight blue, lavender, pink, orange, or red.

The functional Twin Stripe Folio (all iPad mini models; $35) sports a two-striped motif on its front cover, available in two color schemes. The case also includes a fold-down flap for the iPad’s back-facing camera, an elastic strap to keep the cover in place, and turns into a stand for typing and viewing in landscape orientation.

The Huxton (all iPad models; price unavailable) is a versatile shoulder bag with dedicated compartments for your MacBook, iPad, and all of their accessories.
Made with polyester, the Huxton features a luggage strap, zippered pockets for cables, chargers, and notepads, and padded handles for comfortable carrying. The bag also includes a removable shoulder strap, and comes in midnight navy or black.

The just-announced Catalyst Case (iPad Pro; price unavailable) is specifically for the just-announced iPad Pro. This sturdy hard-shell case is designed to keep water and other contaminants away.
Catalyst is known for making cases that are completely waterproof, and its version for the iPad Pro is no exception. the case sports a clear back surrounded by a rubber bumper, includes a touchscreen film that, and features water-tight acoustic membranes designed to carry crystal-clear sound under any condition.

The Survivor Slim (iPad mini 4; $60) sports a polycarbonate shell and a silicone bumper designed to withstand drops from up to two meters.
