This week’s roundup includes several new Apple Watch docks, as well as new backup batteries, home security kits, and more.

Macworld’s Jon L. Jacobi says: “Startup August unveiled a new version of its August Smart Lock that supports Apple’s HomeKit technology today, and the company expanded its home-security offering with a numeric keypad and a doorbell camera.” The HomeKit Enabled hub will retail for $229, the Smart Keypad will cost $79, and the Doorbell Cam will go for $199. Shipping is expected in four to eight weeks.

Here’s a different idea for an Apple Watch docking station: Amber is a case—like a jewel box for an engagement ring—that holds and protects the watch when it’s not on your wrist. It’s still in its crowdsourced funding phase, but this week looked sure to meet its $50,000 production goal. Pledge $69 or more, and one of the first Ambers can be yours.

Pod Pro for iPhone and Apple Watch “packs a compact high density 6000mAh lithium ion battery which is enough to charge your iPhone 6 and Apple Watch, twice each. Toss Pod in your pack, and you will have enough power to get through a long weekend.” Pre-order now for $80.

We’ve mentioned the $100 PWR Case before—it’s an iPhone case that has prongs to plug directly into an electrical outlet to recharge with backup power for your phone. It’s now available for the iPhone 6s—but, sadly, not either of the iPhone 6 plus models.

The $59 Apex Stand is the rare stand built for both your MacBook and your iPhone—the laptop goes on top, configured to be used with a Bluetooth keyboard that lets you see the monitor at eye level. The iPhone sits below it, in landscape mode, making it easy to see push notifications and important communications throughout the day.

The $70 GoBatt 6000 is a rugged backup battery—drop-proof, water-proof, and dust-proof—that can charge your iPhone up to three times before it needs its own recharging. A carabiner clip secures it to your gear, meaning it’s always close and available when needed.

The $70 Stilo is a precision stylus, with a 1.9-mm tip that feels, when used, like drawing on paper. Unlike many high-precision styluses, no Bluetooth or special apps are involved: Just turn it on and go.

The $60 Forte is a chrome Apple Watch stand being pitched as the “luxury” alternative to competitors. “The timeless look of chrome and leather fits right into the decor of any bedroom and bedside table,” Twelve South says—and why not make your Apple Watch even more beautiful?
