This week’s roundup of new Mac apps brings us a dedicated app for Product Hunt, the popular tech-trend finding network. Plus, apps for iTunes organization, photo transfers, and more. Read on!

iThought’s Actio ( Mac App Store Link) helps you manage all your tasks with a full set of customizable tools.
The app includes reminders for your appointments and recurring payments, a tagging system that helps you quickly prioritize everything, and plenty of room where you can keep notes about all your projects.

If you are curious about your family’s history, Sherwood Electronics Laboratories’s $30 Branches Pro ( Mac App Store Link) gives you all the tools you need to create a beautiful genealogical tree of all your ancestors.
The app imports any standard GEDCOM file and automatically organizes its contents, analyzing all the relationships among family members to generate an interactive map that includes photos, original documents, and sources.

Need to track lots of recipes? Dark Chocolate Software’s $5 Cards keeps them neatly organized and readily available anytime you want to cook your favorite dish.
The app’s interface is focused on simplicity, and allows you enter new recipes using a standardized format that keeps all the important information at your fingertips and lets you easily convert between multiple units of measure. Cards uses iCloud to sync all your data across multiple devices and allows you to share your favorite recipes through social media, Messages, and AirDrop.

SweetP Productions’s $2 Hides ( Mac App Store Link) keeps your sensitive information protected by hiding your desktop with a quick keyboard command.
The app lets you specify a custom shortcut that you can use to obscure the content of your desktop—perfect for presentations, meetings, and any other occasion when you need to keep things confidential. It also supports a special “single app mode,” in which it only displays windows of a chosen app, while everything else is covered by an opaque virtual curtain.

ERCLab’s Photo Transfer ( Mac App Store Link) allows you to transfer your photos from your Mac to your iPhone and iPad using your Wi-Fi connection.
Together with its companion iOS app, Photo Transfer makes quick work of moving media files in and out of your devices without compromising their resolution or metadata—and without having to worry about cables.

Product Hunt is a website and iOS app that serves as a launchpad for tech’s next big trends and products—and now it has its own dedicated app for the Mac.
The app lives in your menu bar, and mirrors its browser-based counterpart, showing you a list of the hottest new products voted by the Product Hunt community.

Bot Home Automation’s Ring connects your Mac to the Ring Video Doorbell, a smart lock for your house, and allows it to instantly access its built-in camera when the latter detects movement.
The app notifies you when guests are waiting at the door, lets you interact directly with them from your Mac, and allows you to control the device’s built-in smart lock over Wi-Fi.

Wide Angle Software’s $23 Tune Sweeper ( Mac App Store Link) analyzes your iTunes library to look for duplicate tracks, missing artwork, hidden tracks, and much more.
After pouring over all the data, the app produces a neat report, from which you can delete duplicates, download missing artwork, and fix any missing files.

Paul O’Neill’s $1 Wimoweh helps you optimize your Mac’s power consumption by analyzing the hard disk and CPU usage patterns of the apps you run.
Once it has gathered enough information about your computing habits, Wimoweh can be set up to perform all kinds of nifty tricks, like keeping your computer from sleeping when certain apps are running, or scheduling sleep/wake patterns based on a specific schedule or on the availability of certain networking resources.
