Give It Up 2 (freemium, iPhone and iPad) lets you guide Blog and his friends through “a unique and surreal grayscale world full of deadly spikes and platforms.” The new update makes the game itself free to play—you can earn free coins for in-app purchases—and now includes leaderboards so you can see how you can stack up in three daily challenge difficulty levels.
Gordon Ramsay DASH (freemium, iPhone and iPad) is a game that lets you experience becoming a chef under the guidance of one of America’s (and the U.K.’s) meanest and most-famous food celebrities. Build your own avatar, then “travel around the globe and master your skills in unique restaurants” as you compete to reach the top of the leaderboards.
Hyperburner ($3, iPhone and iPad) “ is a high-speed space flier set in a distant colonial solar system.” You have five challenging stages to master—and better, cooler ships to unlock as you progress in the game. Be warned, though: This game is compatible only with later-generation iPhones and iPads.
Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens (freemium, iPhone and iPad): By now, you know how these Lego Star Wars games work. So all we’ll say is this: Yaaaaay! The latest game is out! It’ll keep us occupied a few more months until Rogue One comes out.
Perchang ($2, iPhone an iPad) is like a 3D pinball game with multiple tiny balls, as designed by MC Escher working in partnership with Rube Goldberg. So yeah, pretty cool—and pretty challenging.
Sportle (free, iPhone and iPad) helps users find live video streams of sporting events—if there’s a game on ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, YouTube and more, you’ll be able to discover them. You’ll get custom notifications for favorite teams, as well as alerts when games are going into their final minutes.
Remember those “choose your adventure” books from he 1980s? Yarn (free, iPhone) lets you read stories where you make choices, solve puzzles, and help guide the characters to the end. This week’s update adds 11 new stories to the app’s library.
