Just when you were getting comfortable with last week’s beta release of macOS Sierra, it’s time to back up your data and get ready for another version. Apple on Monday released macOS Sierra developer beta 7, which is also known as Public Beta 6 to the general public.
If you are participating in Apple’s Sierra beta, you can get the latest versiopn through the App Store, under Updates. Developers can also get the beta through Apple’s Developer Center.
Apple doesn’t include any details on what’s included in the new version. The notes say only that the “update is recommended for all users.” The download is 2.14GB.
Last Friday, Apple released the dev beta 7/Public Beta 6 of iOS 10, which was a small 60MB update.
If you aren’t trying out the beta and you want to, you can sign up for the Apple Public Beta Program. Keep in mind that this is beta software we’re dealing with here, so it’s possible some of your apps or gear you use with your Mac will have problems with the beta OS.
