We’re almost through what’s basically Tech Advent, week after week of quietly preparing ourselves to receive actual confirmed details about the next iPhone. Today, Glenn and Susie begin working through our grief about the next phone’s alleged lack of a headphone jack and wonder how waterproof it’ll be versus how waterproof Apple will publicly say it is.
Elsewhere, Barbra Strei-SAND is making a difference, and we love her for it. The Apple Store has a new name, or just a lowercase S. AT&T and T-Mobile are messing with their plan offerings again, and if you can sort out the details, you could save hundreds per year—like Glenn is. And Apple Music could get some new competition, from a cheaper Amazon offering for students and/or a rebranded version of Rdio from its new owner Pandora.
